During the debate on the motion of thanks on the President's address to the Rajya Sabha, Tomar said that if a road is being connected to land in a rural area, such as in the city, the house will be assessed and compensation amount will be paid accordingly to the landowner. . Home property can also be pledged to the bank.
147,000 people were given ownership of their land
Tomar said that an ownership scheme has been launched to give villagers ownership of their residential property. It was first implemented in 6 states and under it 147,000 people have been given ownership of their land. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman proposed to implement this scheme in the entire country in the budget of 2021-22.
What is an ownership plan?
It was launched in October 2020 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Most of this happens in villages in India, which are called 'populated areas'. This is land whose owners do not have documents. Every generation is claiming its authority. There are also many disputes over the ownership of such land. But since independence, land falling in such 'populated areas' has never been surveyed in various states nor has any initiative been made to prepare its legal papers. The states also did not get property tax for the building constructed on this land.
This initiative has been taken by the Government of India for the ownership of houses built on such land, which is named 'Am Swami Yojana'. Under this scheme, homeowners are being given 'property cards' after the survey. Beneficiaries will now have legal documents to keep their homes.

Under this scheme, the villagers are being given documents of their land. In the first phase of the scheme, 20 villages were selected from each district of Uttar Pradesh. For this, a survey was also conducted in all these 75 districts.
