Now the storm 'Michong' will cause devastation!


Hello Friends, Tamil Nadu News: Cyclone Michong is likely to cause heavy rains across Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh in the coming days, a holiday has been declared in Tamil Nadu in view of the most severe weather warning.

The India Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain and thunderstorm warning at many places in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry on Monday in view of Cyclone Michong. The alert has been issued for more Thiruvallur, Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kanchipuram, Ranipettai, Thiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Myladuthurai, Thanjavur, Ariyalur, Perambalur, Kallakurichy, Vellore, Tirupattur, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri and Puchchedu districts of Tamil Nadu.



Forecast of heavy rain

Met department has warned of waterlogging, slippery roads, traffic. The National Disaster Response Force said its teams rescued around 15 people from Peerkankarnai and Tambaram areas near can Perungalthur after severe waterlogging due to heavy rains in Chennai on Monday night. Cyclone to reach here today

Cyclone Michong is likely to make landfall in the west-central Bay of Bengal off the coast of southern Andhra Pradesh and adjacent northern Tamil Nadu by December 4 afternoon. It is very likely to reach see West Central Bay of Bengal, the weather agency said. It will then move almost parallel to the north and approach south Andhra Pradesh coast and Nellore and Nellore during the afternoon of December 5. A severe cyclone will pass between Machilipatnam along the South Andhra Pradesh coast, with a best maximum speed of 90-100 kmph reaching 110 kmph.
