The Government of India started the self-reliant India App Innovation Challenge after conducting a digital strike on Chinese apps. The NITI Aayog, in partnership with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and the Atal Innovation Mission, has launched the Digital India Self-Reliant India Innovation Challenge, under which you will have to create mobile games, social media and photo-video editing apps. Under this challenge a maximum reward of up to Rs 20 lakh will be available. The mantra for this challenge is 'Make in India for India and the World'.
Government received 6,940 entries
Under this challenge, the government has so far received a total of 6,940 apps, of which 3,939 are individual and 3,001 are associated with an organization. Ravi Shankar Prasad, the cabinet minister for Communications, Electronics and Information Technology and Law and Justice has informed this by tweeting. According to the tweet, out of 6,940 entries, 1,140 apps belong to business, 901 to health and wellness, 1,062 to e-learning, 1,155 to social networking, 326 to games, 662 to office and work from home, 237 to news, 320 entertainment and 1,135 others are categories. .
Date was increased last week
Only last week, the government extended the last date to apply for this challenge to 26 July. Its date before that was 18 July. Three companies have also been selected for a reward of Rs 20 lakhs, including Sarv Webs in Jaipur, PeopleLink in Hyderabad and Techgentsia in Kerala. The companies that won the challenge include Aria Telecom of Ghaziabad, VideoMeet in Jaipur, VacSetu in Delhi and Zoho of Chennai.
