In the last 24 hours, Meghmehr was observed in 161 talukas in the state amid heavy rainfall forecast by the Meteorological Department.

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, 161 talukas of the state have received rain in the last 24 hours. Porbandar received the highest rainfall of 3.5 inches, while Bijapur, Santrampur and Kodinar received 2.5 inches. Also Sutrapada and Modasa have received 2 inches of rain and 2 inches each in Kadana, Wadali, Jalod, Wadia, Ranawav, Dhanera and Lodhika. Besides, Veraval and Poshina received 2 inches of rain each and Chuda and Megharaj received 1.5 inches of rain.
There will be heavy rainfall in the state till August 10 and 11
Let us further inform that till now the lowest rainfall has been recorded in North Gujarat. But according to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, Meghraja will hit Ahmedabad today on August 10 in the state. Also, there will be heavy rainfall in the state till August 10 and 11.
Saurashtra-Kutch will also be overwhelmed
Very heavy rain is forecast in Saurashtra-Kutch on 11th August. There is a possibility of very heavy rain in Gir-Somnath and Junagadh districts. Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Patan, Mehsana, Aravalli, Mahisagar and Dahod are also likely to receive heavy rain. Very heavy rain is likely over Valsad, Daman and Dadra and Nagar-Haveli. Very heavy rain is forecast in Saurashtra Kutch on 11th August. There is a possibility of very heavy rain in Gir-Somnath and Junagadh districts.
