According to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, the Aadhaar update will ensure the accuracy of relevant information in the Central Identity Data Repository (CIDR).





The government has made a major change in the rules related to Aadhaar card. According to the information, the documents placed in the Aadhaar card now have to be updated after 10 years. This means that the documents that were used while generating the Aadhaar number or creating the Aadhaar card, will be required to update the relevant documents at least once after the completion of 10 years.


Updates are to be done after completion of every 10 years from the date of registration.
According to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, the Aadhaar update will ensure the accuracy of relevant information in the Central Identity Data Repository (CIDR). Aadhaar holders can update documents containing proof of Identity Proof and Resident/Address Proof at least once every 10 years from the date of enrollment for Aadhaar.


This appeal was made to the people last month

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), which issues Aadhaar numbers, last month requested people to submit proof of Identity Proof and Address Proof if they have had Aadhaar number for more than 10 years and have not updated the relevant information again. Update documents.

This facility is available at the Aadhaar Enrollment Centre.

Aadhaar holders can update identity proof and residence proof, which must contain name and photo.

So far 134 crore Aadhaar numbers have been issued.
