Gujarat Weather Update : District wise Forecast

Gujarat Weather Update Rainy weather has been recorded in many districts of the state for the last one week. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in the state. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain is expected in seven districts of South Gujarat today. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, heavy to very heavy rains may occur at sporadic places in Surat, Navsari, Valsad today.



Rain Forecast Orange alert has also been issued after the forecast of heavy to very heavy rains. Orange alert is issued for those areas where four and a half inches to eight inches of rain may occur. Apart from this, heavy to very heavy rains may also occur in the Union Territory of Daman and Dadranagar Haveli.


Heavy rains may occur at isolated places in Banaskantha district of North Gujarat as well as Bharuch, Narmada, Tapi, Dang areas of South Gujarat. After the forecast of heavy rains, the Meteorological Department has announced a yellow alert in all these districts. Yellow alert is issued for those areas where two and a half to four and a half inches of rain may occur.


Heavy to very heavy rains have been predicted in some areas of South Gujarat on August 3 and 4. Heavy rains may occur in many areas including Surat, Dang, Navsari, Tapi. In Saurashtra too, after another break, the second round of rain will start from August 2. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain especially in Amreli, Bhavnagar, Girsomnath and Diu from August 2. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert regarding heavy rains in this district.


Talking about the season's rain in the state so far, so far 61.93 percent of the season's rain has occurred in the state. In which Kutch has received the highest 85.94 percent of the season so far, Saurashtra has received 75.77 percent rain. Apart from this, South Gujarat has received 71.51 percent of the monsoon season's rain so far, North Gujarat has received 44.40 percent of the season's rain so far and Central Gujarat has received 43.86 percent of the monsoon season's rain.

Ahmedabad Meteorological Department scientist Ramashrya Yadav said, "Due to changes in the atmosphere, rain is likely in various parts of the state in the coming days. We are constantly monitoring the situation and will issue more warnings if needed."
