Oil companies are going to implement a new delivery system from November 1

Oil companies are going to implement a new delivery system from November 1: now they have to give OTP to get LPG cylinders: The home delivery process of LPG cylinders is going to change. Now the cylinder cannot be obtained without OTP. OTP will have to be given to take the cylinder from next month i.e. November. Oil companies are going to implement a new delivery system from November 1 to prevent theft and identify the right customer. This new system is called Delivery Authentication Code (DAC).

So how do you get a cylinder now?

Under the new system LPG cylinders will no longer be supplied without OTP. For this, a code will be sent to your registered mobile. An application has been created for this real time code. This code must be given to the delivery boy. If the code is not given the cylinder will not be found. The cylinder will be available only after giving the OTP code. This system will only apply to domestic cylinders, not to commercial cylinders.

What to do if number is not updated?

If an old mobile number is registered in the system, you will be able to update your mobile number in real time. Delivery Boy will have an app, through which he can update your number in real time. The code will then be generated immediately. This new system will increase the problems of customers whose addresses and mobile numbers are wrong. For this reason the delivery of these people's cylinders may stop.

Will this rule apply in our city?

This new rule will be implemented in big cities in the first phase. Oil companies plan to implement the system in the first 100 smart cities. The system will then be ready to be rolled out across the country. To this end, pilot projects have also been undertaken in Jaipur and Coimbatore. The pilot project has had over 95% success.
