Concerns have increased over the increasing number of corona cases in the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also called a meeting with the CMs of all states to discuss the growing Corona issue. The meeting is scheduled for 17 March at 11 am. PM Modi will hold a video conference and discuss with the CMs of all states. Discussions on what to do to curb the growing case of corona can be discussed. There may also be a nationwide vaccine campaign. Therefore many states need lockdown, curfew and strict rules. So that the issue of the current situation will also be considered in the meeting.
Maharashtra has the highest number of cases
Maharashtra accounted for 61 percent of the total cases reported in the country in the last one week. There were 24,458 cases nationwide on Monday, down from 26,386 on Sunday. However, the number of new cases usually decreases on Monday, which did not occur on this Monday. There were 9000 fewer cases this week than in the previous week.
However, this is not only in Maharashtra, the situation is worrisome. There has been a spurt in the number of patients in at least 10 states or union territories in a week. Barring states of Kerala, Odisha, Uttarakhand and Eastern Uttar Pradesh, there has been a huge increase in the number of patients across the country.
Apart from Maharashtra, cases are increasing in Punjab, Karnataka, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. While cases in Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi and Chandigarh have started increasing at a slow pace.

Nocturnal curfew in the metros of Gujarat
Due to the steady increase in Corona cases, the night curfew has been increased again in 4 metros of Gujarat. In view of the Corona infection, the state government has decided to impose night curfew in the four metros Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot from March 17. This system of night curfew will remain in force till 31 March 2021. However, this day will be applicable only after 12 pm.
